This Privacy Policy describes how The Clock School (“the App,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use our iOS application. By using the App, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
1 Information We Do Not Collect
The Clock School does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Your location or GPS data
- Your contacts, photos, calendars, or files
- Any advertising identifiers
- Any usage analytics or crash reports sent to us
The app does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking libraries.
2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To provide the app’s features, The Clock School stores the following data only on your device
(using Apple’s standard UserDefaults and app storage):
- Your learning progress (which tasks you have completed)
- Your app preferences (theme, 12/24-hour format, selected language)
- Optional game results, including a nickname you may enter to save a score
- Whether you have completed the introductory onboarding
- Whether you have purchased the Lifetime Access in-app purchase
This information never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party. Deleting the app from your device removes all of this data.
3 In-App Purchases
The Clock School offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (“Lifetime Access”) that unlocks the Medium and Hard task categories.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple’s App Store using Apple’s StoreKit framework. We do not receive or store your payment information, credit-card number, or Apple ID. Apple provides us only with anonymized information required to grant the entitlement (namely, whether the purchase was made). Purchases are also linked to your Apple ID by Apple, so you can restore your purchase on any device signed in to the same Apple ID.

4 Children’s Privacy
The Clock School is designed to help children and beginners learn to read a clock and is safe for users of all ages. Because the app does not collect any personal information from anyone, it also does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). The app contains no third-party advertising, no external links intended for children, no chat, and no social features.
5 Third-Party Services
The Clock School does not integrate with any third-party services that collect personal information. The only external service used is Apple’s App Store / StoreKit, solely for processing the optional in-app purchase.
The Share button in the app opens the standard iOS share sheet so you can share a link to the app; any information shared through that sheet is handled entirely by the app or service you choose (Messages, Mail, etc.), not by us.
6 Permissions
The Clock School does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, health data, or any other sensitive device data. The app only uses standard app storage and audio playback (for the built-in sound effects that ship with the app).
7 Data Security
Because we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data on our servers to be lost, stolen, or misused. Data stored locally on your device is protected by iOS’s standard security features.
8 Your Rights
Since The Clock School does not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. You are in full control:
- You can reset your in-app progress and settings at any time from the Settings screen inside the app.
- You can uninstall the app from your device to remove all locally stored data.
- You can manage or restore your in-app purchase through the App Store on your device.
9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or in legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
